Prologue -

Deep in a dark ally way in the island of Oahu, Hawaii is where this adventreous story begins. No sound can be heard except an occasional rustle of cans on the old cement floor. The silence was broken as a man walked into the ally way, his foot steps where light as if he where trying to keep quiet so he could attack his prey. His face was stuck in a tight smug smile. He started to walk toward a small crinkled shape near the trash cans in the back of the ally."Did you hind the three shell?" asked a elderly man who looked liked he was old as time itself; he was sitting on an old Indian rug on the floor tracing the intricate rope patterns that made the rug, while eating a cracker at the same time. "Yes," said the man. "But there is a problem. I--" The man was interrupted by the loud shout of the old man, who is clearly in outrage. "What is the problem?" the old man demanded in a a voice that sounded like thunder.
The man stepped back. Nervous. "I, umm..,"started the man once more. "I lost the necklace." "What you big oolf. The necklace is the only thing that can find the three shells!" said the old man standing up to his full height, which was larger than the man himself. "Where did you lose it?" "By the park on 5th avenue. The police started to chase me because the necklace was part of a local museum and it was their most prized possession. And I guess I dropped the necklace during my escape," said the man regretfully. The old man's brown eyes widened in shock. "The road workers are going to close 5th avenue down tomorrow for road work. Now we can't get that necklace back!" said the old man taking a step forward toward the man. His fingers began to curl, crushing his half eaten cracker in his hand and reducing it to nothing except dust. "Do you know how long the world work will be?" asked the old man, while looking in the other man's eyes. "About 5 days if it doesn't rain," replied the man with some confidants. The old man nodded as if he already knew that information a century ago.
As the old man began to grumble on more about the shells, the man who was only a boy's mind began to wonder off. He began to think about school, he was moving to a new school this year and he never moved schools before. He would be leaving his best friends: Pat and Dan. He already missed the way that Pat's laughs bubbled like a tiny stream and how Dan could sprint faster than cheetah if he wanted to. He didn't want to come to Hawaii because of the ocean. He had a fear of the ocean because he was always told that the ocean takes life but never gives. (This may not be true but if was just was he was told) The boy didn't know how to swim either, not to mention swim in a deep, dark, never ending ocean.
"Boy!" His thoughts were interrupted by the shouting of the man trying to get his attention back. "Yes,Grandfather?" The boy replied as if he was listening the whole time, but by the way his Grandfather looked at him he could tell that he was clearly annoyed. "I asked: Where are the shells?" The boy swallowed what he thought was a whole rock in his thought. He cleared his thought, "I dropped them, too. In my escape o-of course... But I was able to hold onto one of them." The old man's eyes turned wild with rage. Then he snapped, "Go find them. No being must know of the power those shells hold!" The boy nodded quickly and ran off in search of the necklace and the 2 shells he dropped. At least it isn't three thought the boy while he ran off into the red dazzling sunset.
